Fr. Jim has been a priest for twenty-five years; ordained in the Diocese of Richmond by Bishop Walter Sullivan. He attended Sacred Heart Seminary College in Detroit, MI, St. John’s Seminary in Plymouth, MI and Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He has a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master’s of Divinity. He is Parochial Vicar at St. Michael in Glen Allen, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and affiliated with St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Jim is pleased to serve at St. Elizabeth, enjoys the diversity of the community and hopes to remain there and watch their continued growth. His family resides in Naples, Florida. Fr. Jim’s hobbies include golf and yoga.
Ethel has been greeting parishioners and visitors at the door and on the telephone since August 1989. She helps our parishioners with scheduling special Masses, providing duplicate sacramental certificates, making arrangements for baptisms, weddings and funerals. Also, as the parish office manager she prepares and distributes the weekly bulletin, maintains the Master Calendar for the church, maintains parish sacramental record books, updates parishioner records, and provides secretarial support for the Pastor and staff.
As Director of Religious Education, Annie McEntee provides leadership, coordination and program development for all formal religious education at St. Elizabeth Church. Serving Pre-K through adult, Annie is responsible for developing an effective Catechist Formation Program for the parish, providing leadership for local Parish Catechetical Leaders, and organizing and directing religious education workshops. She works closely with the Fr. Jim and other church leaders to evaluate and implement only the very best religious education programs and approved policies.
Our parish is blessed with an all-volunteer group of dedicated individuals who share their gifts by devoting time and energy to the upkeep and maintenance of all parish facilities and grounds. Roger Pryor has been a fixture of St. Elizabeth’s parish for many years, leading the maintenance efforts around the church. Working closely with church leadership, Mr. Pryor has proven himself to be the “go to man” to get things done. He enjoys fishing, golf, travel, and time with family.
